La lista de contenidos ha sido revelada para el estuche David Bowie: Loving The Alien (1983 – 1988), la cuarta de una serie de colecciones que abarca la carrera de Bowie desde 1969 en adelante.
La continuación del aclamado por la crítica Five Years (1969 – 1973), David Bowie: Who Can I Be Now? (1974 – 1976) y David Bowie: Una nueva carrera en una ciudad nueva (1977 – 1982) será lanzado el 12 de octubre por Parlophone Records y contendrá una nueva producción del álbum de 1987, Never Let Me Down.
Lanzado como 11 CD y 15 álbumes, además de una descarga digital, la colección contiene todo el material lanzado oficialmente por Bowie entre 1983 y 1988.
Incluye los tres álbumes de estudio que lanzó durante este período: Let’s Dance, Tonight y Never Let Me Down.
También presenta un álbum en vivo nunca antes editado que fue grabado en Vancouver en 1983 en la gira Serious Moonlight, el debut en vinilo del álbum Glass Spider (Live In Montreal 1987) y Dance, un álbum que incluye 12 remezclas contemporáneas, algunas de las cuales aparecen en CD y vinilo por primera vez.
Re:Call 4 recopila versiones únicas contemporáneas remasterizadas, sencillos que pertenecen a ningún álbum, ediciones de álbumes, lados b y canciones presentadas en bandas sonoras como Labyrinth, Absolute Beginners y When The Wind Blows.
La colección también contiene Never Let Me Down (2018) – una nueva producción del álbum de 1987 producido por Mario McNulty y presentando al baterista Sterling Campbell, los guitarristas Reeves Gabrels y David Torn y el bajista Tim Lefebvre. Nico Muhly ha manejado los arreglos de cuerda.
Las colecciones irán acompañadas de un libro: 128 páginas en la colección de CDs y 84 en la colección de vinilo.
